Construction of the complete system for automatic control and regulation at plant for production of Anhydride of Maelic Acid based on n-butane,with use of SIEMENS PCS 7 (Process Control System 7 – Totally Integrated Automation)

 

 

 

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

Suggested solution was the replacement of the existing equipment for measurements and regulation, with a new, modern equipment of the SIEMENS company. According to the present equipment state, the replacement of pneumatic actuators( current transformer into pressure, degree or angle) with a pneumatic regulator of the ECKARDT company was done, while the present pneumatic actuators were kept. At the particular technological positions we added new pneumatic actuators of the SAMSON company. The replacement of all sensors with new ones was done, while all existing measurement diaphragms were kept. We also changed cables for measuring regulatory circles. Automation of technological process is based on programmable logical controller of the SIEMENS family SIMATIC S7 400H, as two different systems connected into one system with usage of SIEMENS PCS 7 v6.1 system. The first system is composed of central controlling unit and decentralized periphery of the type ET SIEMENS SIMATIC S7, type 300. That system is called ‘’ process’’ and it is used for all measuring regulatory circles, as well as for acquisition of measurements which are not connected to interlock system. The second system is composed of central controlling unit and its redundancy of the same type and decentralized periphery of the type ET SIEMENS SIMATIC S7, type 300. That system is called ‘’ safety interlock’’ and is used for implementation of interlock system. The regulation process system consists of PLC (Programmable Logic Control) SIMATIC S7-400 CPU 414-3 and 5 decentralized units distributed across plant for acquisition and processing of measured values. Interlocking system is composed of redundant system of PLC (Programmable Logic Control) SIMATIC S7-400FH CPU 414FH and 3 decentralized units distributed across plants for acquisition and processing of measuring values. Monitoring and visualization system is based on SIEMENS’s SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system WinCC 6.0 configured with two PC IL43 servers and two clients. The servers have a hundred percent redundancy, therefore they perform the same actions and control each others accuracy. The connection between PLC and SCADA systems is Ethernet, which enables certain connection of this technological process with other Global Ispat Coke Industry, as well as central data collection.
